Life at MTSU

The spacious, 500-acre campus of Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) features modern buildings existing harmoniously with historic structures. Renovated residence halls, a computerized, state-of-the-art library, a large recreation center, and campus-wide computer access support solid academic programs for more than 23,000 students. Founded in 1911 as one of three state normal schools for teacher training, MTSU is now the oldest and largest public university in Middle Tennessee.
